Usain Bolt breaking records off track 6th IAAF World Athlete of the Year

Usain Bolt has ended a record breaking 2016 with yet another record, but this time, his best pair of dress shoes were required, rather than his signature gold spikes. On the 2nd of December, Usain Bolt was named the 2016 Male World Athlete of the Year by the IAAF, winning for a record sixth time. Usain had an excellent year competitively, defending his Olympic titles in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m, bringing his total Olympic gold medals to nine. While in Rio, Usain clocked season’s best in the 100m and 200m with times of 9.81 and 19.81 respectively. He also anchored the Jamaican 4×100 team to gold in Brazil with a world leading time of 37.27.
