The thrilling and colourful Jamaica carnival 2015
Sunday April 12, 2015 was a colourful day on the streets of Kingston Jamaica. This was because after more than two months of organised festivities, the Bacchanal Jamaica group brought to a close the 2015 Jamaican Carnival season with its annual road march. The road march had a route that began at the New Mas Camp (National Stadium East), continued on Old Hope Road onto one of the busiest road in Kingston, Hope Road. From Hope Road, through Half Way Tree (Kingston’s city centre) right back around to the route’s original starting point at the Mas Camp. Filling all 4 lanes of the road, the hundreds of vibrantly coloured masqueraders fueled with the energy of sweet soca music jumped and raved the entirety of the march. Only stopping after the final truck entered the venue and the music was turned down low. All captured for you with video highlights and beautifully coloured photos.
A fitting end to an amazing season, the party done…. well at least until next year.
