The Reggae Boys first Caribbean team ever in the Gold Cup finals
Jamaica’s Darren Mattocks and Giles Barnes each scored within five minutes of the other in a 2-1 Gold Cup semifinal win over the United States that means the hosts can finish no higher than third in the tournament.
Mattocks headed home in the 31st minute and Barnes connected on a free kick from just outside the box to put Jamaica up early.
Despite an early second half goal from Michael Bradley and a furious charge in the game’s final minutes in search of an equaliser, the U.S. could not even the score.

Is it just me that keep seeing the American press mentions of bad defending and errors by the US team why the lost?
Congratulations Jamaica you are the first team from the Caribbean to make it to the Gold Cup finals and also the first Caribbean team to defeat the USA on US soil since Haiti in 1969. Great Jamaica for re-writing the record books.
