Sunshine Girls seal Semi-Final berth in thriller (Netball World Cup 2015)

The Jamaican Sunshine Girls sealed their semi-final spot when they defeated the Malawi Queens 63-62 in the tightest game of the NWC2015 so far.

Both teams put on a spectacle for the roaring crowd in Allphones Arena, but it was the fourth ranked Sunshine Girls whose consistency and composure for all four quarters got them over the line.

Playing in her 50th Test Cap game, Sindi Simtowe was an attacking powerhouse for Malawi with a 100% shooting accuracy for the game.

The Sunshine Girls took an early lead, Sasher-Gaye Henry was instrumental in midcourt, getting the ball quickly to Romelda Aiken and Shanice Beckford in the circle. The attacking duo only missed one goal in the opening quarter, taking them to a 19-13 lead at the end of the first term.
